The characteristicsofarchitecture is
integrating functionalism and coordinate the organic relationship
between man, nature and buildings. The humanistic approach is in full evidence there:
warm colors, and undulating lines andthe
dual nature of existence. It
is an architecture
of duality – the dual nature of existence – solid/void, light/dark,
stark/serene. The structure set about dissolving
rigid order by using curving rather than flat concrete slabs to create
fluidity between spaces. Fluted
slabs white concrete with a bush-hammered finish forms the walls,
while a crescent-shaped pond wraps the building.
The second consideration was light, light is an important controlling factor. The
primary reason is to create a place for the individual, a zone for oneself
within society.Visitors can experience the light that literally falls from the sky, as if a dialogue between man and nature is taking place. And when the external factors of a city's environment require the
wall to be without openings, the interior must be especially full and
satisfying. The way in which the concrete is poured and formed gives the concrete a luminous quality when exposed to natural light.
